| In the early 1960s, NASA studied how astronauts functioned in the extreme heat and cold of space. They found that when astronauts were exposed to 95˚ F, they made up to 60 mistakes an hour.
Further study to prevent core body temperature from rising proved that the optimum cooling temperature to maintain a safe core temperature and prevent heat exhaustion for astronauts was between 45-55˚ F. How Astronauts Stay Cool NASA determined the best way to accomplish this was to cover 30-40% of the body with cool water at that temperature. They incorporated this cool water therapy in the space suits that astronauts wore. This is the basis for all Cool Shirt cooling products. |

| Cooling Shirt Acts as a Radiator for Body 45 to 50 feet of medical grade tubing draws the heat off of 30-40% of the body, which helps people manage body heat in extreme environments using circulating temperature-controlled cool water. From welders to surgeons, from race car drivers to soldiers in tanks, anywhere heat is a problem for someone, Cool Shirt® has a solution. Learn how Cool Shirt cooling systems work. |
