Cooling for Firefighters
Firefighters at Risk From Heat Exposure
Direct exposure to fire is dangerous, but exposing your brain to high temperatures slows your ability to make decisions. NASA research from the early 1960s proved that more mistakes are made when the body is exposed to high temperatures. You know that when the outside temperature is above 80 degrees, there is no relief from the heat of fighting a fire.

At 95 degrees Fahrenheit, NASA proved that the body will make 60 mistakes an hour. That many mistakes can be hazardous to you and your team. Cooling your core body temperature in a Rehab session will reduce your mistakes and maybe save your life.

The Cool Shirt® Firefighter Rehab System meets the NFPA 1584 standard for Cooling and Rehab by supplying water at temperatures between 45 and 55 degrees through out the 50 feet of medical grade tubing in the Aqua Vest Active.

The Firefighter Rehab System sets up in 5 minutes and will supply consistent cooling for several hours. The only things required to operate the system are ice, water and 110v AC "( Dual voltage (110v / 12v) systems available).
